Sunwhale structures UAE-aligned sourcing for areca palm leaf and bagasse moulded fibre packaging through qualified Indian manufacturing partners — coordinating supplier qualification, buyer-facing documentation packs, CEPA support, private label execution, and India-to-UAE shipment readiness.
Under India–UAE CEPA, areca palm leaf and bagasse moulded fibre tableware qualify for a preferential 0% import duty rate. A valid Certificate of Origin issued by an authorised Indian body is required per shipment.
Prior to CEPA (effective May 2022), UAE importers paid a standard 5% GCC customs duty on both categories. With a valid CoO, India-origin supply now qualifies for a 0% preferential rate — a structurally significant landed-cost advantage versus competing origins including China and Vietnam, which hold no equivalent preferential agreement with the UAE.
UAE single-use plastic restrictions and procurement tightening across hospitality, airline catering, and institutional foodservice are increasing demand for documented natural fibre alternatives. This is a procurement shift — not a trend.
The structural shift is in documentation expectations, not product categories. UAE operators are not simply buying alternative tableware — they are qualifying sourcing partners with audit-ready documentation. Fibre Tableware
Sourced through BRCGS Grade A certified manufacturing partners in Gujarat. Industrial-grade moulded fibre tableware engineered for high-volume foodservice environments. Compostable, no plastic content, and FTIR-verified. The scalable volume platform for UAE hospitality distributors, institutional foodservice operators, and airline catering programs requiring consistent quality across high-volume SKU programs.
Sunwhale coordinates supplier-specific buyer-facing documentation packs for both product platforms. Documentation is available per SKU, per shipment, and structured for rapid qualification by UAE procurement teams.

Sunwhale coordinates buyer-facing documentation packs, CEPA CoO support, and shipment execution readiness — structured for UAE procurement team evaluation, not manufactured as Sunwhale's own certifications. The UAE does not currently mandate a single national food-contact standard; however, BRCGS, LFGB, US FDA, and EU Reg. 1935/2004 are accepted by UAE hospitality and institutional operators.
Both export routes are established. CEPA Certificate of Origin is coordinated per shipment. Primary discharge port: Jebel Ali (JAFZA).
